Foundation of the new chair
First day of the newly founded Chair of Intelligent Maintenance Systems within the Institute of Construction & Infrastructure Management. We welcome, Manuel Arias-Chao, Dr. Gabriel Michau and Prof. Dr. Olga Fink at the Chair!
Manuel Arias-Chao works towards his PhD on “Fleet Diagnostics and Prognostics Combining Deep Learning and Physics-based Performance Models”. The algorithms will be developed and validated for a fleet of maritime diesel engines in collaboration with WinGD (Winterthur Gas & Diesel (https://www.wingd.com/en/)). Manuel Arias-Chao aims at establishing Hybrid Probabilistic Frameworks for Fleet predictive maintenance, combining data-driven approaches with physical models of the engineered systems.
Dr. Gabriel Michau starts a Post-Doctoral position on the application of deep learning for early detection of abnormal behavior in complex industrial assets and on data mining in event-log database for information aggregation.
Prof. Olga Fink starts a new professorship as head of the Chair of Intelligent Maintenance Systems. The chair’s research focuses on Intelligent Maintenance Systems, with special focus on Data‐Driven Condition‐Based and Predictive Maintenance, Deep Learning and Decision Support Algorithms for Fault Detection, Diagnostics and Prognostics of Complex Industrial Assets.
The Chair of Intelligent Maintenance Systems focuses on developing intelligent algorithms to improve performance, reliability and availability of complex industrial assets and making the maintenance more cost efficient. For more information visit our webpage
