New PhD student at IMS

We welcome Qin Wang who starts a PhD project on Deep Transfer Learning for intelligent predictive maintenance applications. In industrial context, machine operation often vary in time. Current machine learning approach for PHM applications are usually fine-tuned to the available data, which often do not contain all relevant operating conditions. To the contrary, Qin Wang aims at finding detection, isolation and prediction methods robust to changes in operating conditions.
