Course on “Machine Learning” for professionals
Organized by ETH Risk Center, the course has provided an introduction to machine learning in finance. The IMS chair has contributed a session on “Machine Learning for Health Monitoring of Critical Systems with Rare Faults”.
The course introduced the basic concepts of ML and its most common tools and programming techniques. In addition, the course has reviewed several recent applications and examined the scope and limitations associated with the application of the algorithms. It has provided the vision and understanding of the many opportunities, costs, and likely performance hurdles of machine learning tools.
The Chair of Intelligent Maintenance Systems focuses on developing intelligent algorithms to improve performance, reliability and availability of complex industrial assets and making the maintenance more cost efficient. For more information visit our webpage
